Ranbir Kapoorâs Sanju crosses the 300 crores mark at the box-office

Rajkumar Hirani directorial starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, Sanju has been extremely well received by the critics and fans world across. The biopic made on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt has broken yet another record at the box office by entering the Rs. 500 crore club. The film has not just crossed the 500 crore mark worldwide but in India too the film has entered the 300 crore club. By the end of today, it will cross Padmaavat’s lifetime earnings and become the biggest of 2018 till now.

Soon after its release, Sanju became Ranbir Kapoor’s highest grossing film ever. Despite being in its third week, the excitement around the film hasn’t reduced. Sanju also stars Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Jim Sarbh among others. Despite film’s success, Sanju received some amount of criticism mentioning that it goes easy on Dutt’s crimes and tries to throw a positive image of the actor. Commenting on that Sanjay Dutt said, “I don’t think anyone would spend Rs 30-40 crore to change his image. That is too much of an amount. I have told the truth and the truth has been accepted by India, and the box office collection shows that.”
