Box Office: Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 becomes the 21st All Time Highest Opening Weekend grosser
The second instalment in the Baaghi franchise that sees Tiger Shroff returning to reprise the role of Ronnie released last week. Directed by Ahmed Khan and also starring Disha Patani, Baaghi 2 opened to a flying start.
In this box office report, we take a look at the opening weekend collections of Baaghi 2 while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 73.10 cr, Baaghi 2 surpasses the Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3 that had collected Rs. 72.80 cr to become the 21st All Time Highest Opening Weekend grosser. If that wasn’t all, the opening weekend collections of Baaghi 2 also manage to out beat other releases like Agneepath that collected Rs. 67.50 cr, and Kaabil that collected Rs. 67.46 cr.
However, the film does not manage to make it to the Top 10 highest opening weekend grossers that are predominated by films that feature either one of the three big Khans in the industry viz. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. But given the film’s current performance, Tiger Shroff does manage to rank alongside the likes of Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and others whose releases feature in the Top 25.
