Collecting a massive Rs. 73.10 cr in three days, Baaghi 2 has managed to beat the Ajay Devgn starrer Raid that had collected Rs. 41.10 cr to become the second highest opening weekend grosser of 2018. Though the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed film Padmaavat starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor retains the top slot as the highest opening weekend grosser of 2018 with a collection of Rs. 114 cr, Baaghi 2 has managed to surpass other releases this year like Pad Man that collected Rs. 40.05 cr, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that collected Rs. 26.57 cr, Hichki that collected Rs. 15.35 cr, and Pari that collected Rs. 15.34 cr.
With positive reviews and good word of mouth, all that remains to be seen is whether the film manages to become one of the highest opening week grossers of 2018 as well.
