Arjun Kapoor admits heâs never read a Chetan Bhagat novel
Arjun Kapoor’s next, Half Girlfriend in based on a Chetan Bhagat novel of the same name and he has worked on another adaptation, of Two States, in the past. Yet, the actor candidly admitted to not having read a single Chetan Bhagat novel in his life. “I think I never faced any problem on that because none of my directors suggested me to read them and those scripts were pretty substantial for me to understand the character. Since in both the films, Chetan was a part of the scripting process, I am sure he kept the essence of the character.”
He plays a character who is uncomfortable with speaking English and Arjun pointed out that we are quick to judge a person on little things like that but it isn’t right to do so. He says if someone around him isn’t comfortable with English, he immediately switches to Hindi. Point noted.
