Marjaavaan remains steady at the box-office
Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria starrer Marjaavaan has been making the right kind of noise ever since the announcement. From what it looks like, constant promotions and good word of mouth have helped the film perform well at the box-office. A mass action entertainer, the film is being helmed by Milap Zaveri and also features Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh in interesting roles.
Speaking of the box-office collections of the film, Marjaavaan collected Rs 7.03 Crore on the first day followed by Rs 7.21 crore on its day 2, making its total collection approximately Rs 14.25 crore. The film didn’t just manage to perform well in metro multiplexes but also in the tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Sharing the figures, a popular trade analyst wrote on his Twitter handle, “#Marjaavaan maintains strong occupancy in mass belt/single screens on Day 2... Metros/multiplexes - average on Day 1 - remain in the same range... Biz should grow on Day 3... Eyes âù 22 cr [+/-] weekend... Fri 7.03 cr, Sat 7.21 cr. Total: âù 14.24 cr. #India biz.”
