Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan have collaborated on films like Khamoshi: The Musical, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Sawaariya. The director-actor duo, however, took a long time to reunite professionally. Now after over 12 years, Salman and SLB are set to work together in Inshallah, SLB’s next film. Salman has been cast opposite Alia Bhatt in the film. We can’t wait to watch this fresh pair on screen. Talking about the day he convinced Salman to do the film, SLB went down memory lane to recall and shared, “ It was a beautiful, breezy evening.  We were sitting in the lawn of his home and as soon as the narration ended, Salman turned to me and said, “When do we start?” It took me back to my two-and-a-half-hour narration of Khamoshi: The Musical…”

SLB further added, “We’ve had a few issues in the past but whenever we met, even sporadically, we took up from where we’d left off without dwelling on the past and the difference of opinions we might have had. My fondness for him is pure and Salman, once he offers his friendship, even if you don’t meet or talk for five years, he’s there waiting for you.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali also revealed during his interview to a leading daily that Inshallah will not be like any of his previous films. He said, “ It’s a younger film, the kind, I’ve wanted to make for a long time after all the dark, intense, over dramatic ones.  Life is not about dark nights, it’s also about beautiful, sunshiny mornings. It’s a new chapter for me as a filmmaker.” We are all pumped up about this one. What about you?
