" Helmed by Reema Kagti, Gold is a sports drama that revolves around India's first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at the 14th Olympic Games at London. There film features Akshay Kumar along with Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Sunny Kaushal, Kumud Pant and Atul Sharma. The film will mark the debut of TV actress Mouni Roy and Akshay's first collaboration with Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film is slated to release on Independene Day next year.
