Paresh Rawal’s Atithii Iin London renamed as Guest Iin London
The legendary Shakespeare once asked, “What’s in a name”. Well, if you are the makers of Atithii Iin London, which starred the legendary Paresh Rawal and Kartik Aaryan in the lead roles, then, the name really means everything. While on one hand, the film is making brisk progress, on the other hand, its makers felt something amiss about the title and hence, renamed it as Guest Iin London.
The film’s director Ashwni Dhir, alongwith Panorama Studios & Kiaan Entertainment Ltd. (UK) felt that Guest Iin London is more appropriate for the film and is totally in sync with the film’s narrative. The second reason for them to change the film’s title was that, many thought that this film was a sequel to the 2010’s Ajay Devgn-Konkona Sen starrer Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge?, which was not the case. The third aspect for the change in title was because Panorama Studios were in discussion with Warner Bros. Pictures to make the sequel of Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. And, Warner Bros. Pictures, who own the rights of Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge and its sequel, were keen to make the film once they had the perfect story to follow Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge.
Besides Paresh Rawal and Kartik Aaryan, Guest Iin London also stars Kriti Kharbanda, Tanvi Azmi and Sanjay Mishra. The film, which has been extensively shot in London & New York, will be releasing on June 16 this year.
