This Bollywood Producer Died During The Istanbul Night Club Attack
As the world joyfully bid adieu to 2016 and welcomed 2017, Istanbul’s popular night club, Reina witnessed a horrible mass shooting, which left 39 dead and many others injured. A gunman reportedly opened fire at about 01:30 in the night as revellers celebrated the New Year.
One of the lives claimed by the attack was Bollywood producer Abis Rizvi, son of former Rajya Sabha MP, Akhtar Hasan Rizvi. Abis was a noted real estate developer from Mumbai, and had recently produced a Bollywood movie, Roar: The Tigers of Sundarbans.
External affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj announced the sad news on Twitter, as she wrote:
This is indeed, a sad news for Bollywood fraternity. RIP, Abis! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased.
