Despite juggling her Bollywood and international acting projects, Priyanka Chopra ensures she takes time out for her production house, Purple Pebbles, which is managed by mother Dr Madhu Chopra. After two successful outings in regional cinema as a producer (Bhojpuri film Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi, and Marathi film Ventilator), the desi
girl is now venturing into Nepali cinema.

Confirming the development, Priyanka's mother tells hitlist, "It's a Sikkimese-Nepali film, which is based in Sikkim. We have titled it Paua, which means guest." The star mom adds that the movie revolves around a family and how the kids get separated from their parents at the time of unrest. PeeCee wants to get local talent on board for the film. "She wants to promote new talent. So, the actors and the crew will be drawn from two places — Nepal and Sikkim."

How did the idea of working on a Sikkimese-Nepali film take birth? "Priyanka was recently appointed as the brand ambassador of Assam. When she shot for Mary Kom (2014) in the northeast, she fell in love with the place. That's why we decided to explore the possibility of making this film," explains Madhu.

Apart from this film, Priyanka is also producing a Punjabi movie, Sarvann, which is scheduled to release next month. She is keen to explore Rajasthani and Chhattisgarhi film industries as well. Besides backing films, Priyanka and her mum are also keen to explore the TV industry, but not immediately.

"We were executing a singing show, involving all the SAARC nations. We had the initial discussions, but due to the unrest among a few countries, it's not happening for now. But we are looking at good content and if something comes our way, we will surely venture into television."
